Una figura femminile, rovesciata e vulnerabile, si fonde con l'immagine pubblicitaria di un'opera lirica. Le gambe proiettate verso l'alto sembrano proseguire idealmente quelle del manifesto, creando un cortocircuito tra realtà e rappresentazione, tra corpo e simbolo.
La performance riflette sull’identità femminile, sul martirio moderno, sulla sovrapposizione tra l’eroina storica e la donna contemporanea, ancora oggi esposta, giudicata, sacrificata.
In questa posa estrema eppure tragicamente quotidiana, la mia "Giovanna" non brucia, ma cade. Non muore, ma si offre, con crudele sincerità, allo sguardo urbano.

A female figure, overturned and vulnerable, merges with the opera poster behind her. Her raised legs align with those in the image, blurring the boundary between reality and representation, body and symbol.
This performance explores themes of feminine identity, modern martyrdom, and the overlapping of historical icons with contemporary womanhood—still exposed, judged, and sacrificed.
In this pose—extreme yet tragically familiar—my “Joan” does not burn, but falls. She does not die, but offers herself, with raw honesty, to the urban gaze.

"Il Coro"

introduzione:

"Ogni gesto del corpo femminile nello spazio pubblico è soggetto a interpretazione, giudizio, condanna. Dopo la mia performance, non sono arrivati solo applausi o domande: è arrivato un coro. Un coro violento, ironico, paternalista, sessista, rabbioso.
Questo è il coro che accompagna ogni donna che osa uscire dai ruoli previsti.
Ho deciso di raccoglierlo, parola per parola. Perché anche il disprezzo è un documento del nostro tempo."

-"Non c'è bisogno che una donna mostri certe cose"

-"Che volgarità, questo non è essere donne."

-"Una donna dovrebbe mostrare il cervello."

-"Vuole diventare famosa facendo vedere la figa."

-"Poi ci lamentiamo se veniamo trattate in un certo modo."

-"Se una fa queste cose, di certo la dà a tutti."

-"Che vergogna, questo vuol dire non avere rispetto delle donne e di se stessi."

-"Tuo marito è orgoglioso di te?"

-"Sei una malata di mente."

-"Che femminista, ragazzi!"

-"Non c'era bisogno di essere così espliciti."

-"Non sopporto certi esibizionismi. E certe esibizioniste."

-"Si vede che sei abituata a farla vedere, la dai gratis?"

-"Io ho vergogna pure del mio ginecologo, devi avere qualche problema."

-"Poi se le tocchi, ti denunciano."

-"Ti ho vista ieri sera, che tiravi su la gonna e la facevi vedere fuori dal mio locale."

-"Dai lavori che fai pensavo fossi lesbica."

-"Dovresti dichiararti lesbica, altrimenti penseranno che sei una puttana."

"The Chorus"

Introduction:

"Every gesture of the female body in public space is subject to interpretation, judgment, condemnation.
After my performance, I didn’t just receive applause or questions: I received a chorus.
A violent, ironic, paternalistic, sexist, angry chorus.
This is the chorus that follows every woman who dares to step outside the roles assigned to her.
I chose to collect it, word for word. Because even contempt is a document of our time."

-"There’s no need for a woman to show certain things."

-"How vulgar, this isn’t what it means to be a woman."

-"A woman should show her brain."

-"She just wants to get famous by showing her pussy."

-"Then we complain about how we’re treated."

-"If she does this kind of thing, she’s obviously sleeping around."

-"Shameful—this shows no respect for women or for yourself."

-"Is your husband proud of you?"

-"You’re mentally ill."

-"What a feminist, guys!"

-"You didn’t need to be so explicit."

-"I can’t stand this kind of exhibitionism. Or these exhibitionists."

-"You clearly like showing it off. Do you give it away for free?"

-"I’m ashamed even in front of my gynecologist—you must have issues."

-"Then they complain when someone touches them."

-"I saw you last night, lifting your skirt and showing it off outside my bar."

-"From the kind of work you do, I thought you were a lesbian."

-"You should come out as a lesbian, otherwise people will think you’re a slut."
