DRAWINGS 2012

I lavori del 2012 segnano l’inizio di una ricerca incentrata sul corpo come struttura simbolica, linguistica e politica. Il disegno, inteso come strumento analitico e intuitivo, viene utilizzato per costruire figure sintetiche, ambigue, a volte disturbanti, che si muovono tra ironia e rigore formale.

Il tratto è essenziale, spesso monocromatico, con interventi cromatici minimi e strategici. Le immagini abitano uno spazio bianco attivo, dove l’assenza di contesto diventa parte della narrazione. I soggetti — ibridi, frammentari, a volte ridotti a segni primari — rifiutano la descrizione didascalica e attivano invece una lettura simbolica e stratificata.

Questa produzione pone le basi di un linguaggio visivo che decostruisce le rappresentazioni convenzionali del corpo, in particolare quello femminile, e ne esplora le possibilità formali ed evocative attraverso un approccio tanto concettuale quanto fisico.

The works from 2012 mark the beginning of a research focused on the body as a symbolic, linguistic, and political structure. Drawing — as both analytical and intuitive tool — is used to construct synthetic, ambiguous, and at times unsettling figures that move between irony and formal precision.

The line is essential, often monochromatic, with minimal and strategic use of color. The images occupy an active white space, where the absence of context becomes part of the narrative. The subjects — hybrid, fragmented, sometimes reduced to primary signs — reject descriptive clarity and invite layered, symbolic readings.

This body of work lays the foundation for a visual language that deconstructs conventional representations of the body — particularly the female body — and explores its formal and evocative potential through an approach that is both conceptual and corporeal.
