Questa serie fotografica documenta la performance estemporanea Tampax, da me realizzata nel luglio 2008 davanti al Teatro Regio di Parma. L’azione, intima e brutale, si è svolta in uno spazio pubblico, interrogando i codici della vergogna, della sessualità e del corpo femminile esposto senza mediazione. La performance nasceva da un'urgenza espressiva e politica, fuori da circuiti ufficiali, come gesto di interruzione poetica nello spazio urbano.
A Diotima pensai per questo lavoro. E Hölderlin mi venne in aiuto.
DIOTIMA (prima stesura)
Tu taci e soffri, e non ti capiscono, sacra creatura! Appassisci e intanto taci,
poiché invano tra i barbari cerchi alla luce del sole i tuoi,
le anime grandi, sensibili, che non ci sono più.
Ma il tempo fugge. Già il mio canto mortale vede
il giorno, Diotima!, in cui presso gli dèi insieme agli eroi ti nomina, e ti eguaglia.

This photographic series documents the spontaneous performance Tampax, which I carried out in July 2008 in front of the Teatro Regio in Parma. The action—intimate and raw—took place in a public space, confronting codes of shame, sexuality, and the unmediated exposure of the female body. The performance emerged from a personal and political urgency, outside institutional circuits, as a poetic interruption within the urban space.
I thought of Diotima for this work. And Hölderlin came to my aid.
DIOTIMA (first draft)
You are silent and you suffer, and they do not understand you, sacred creature!
You wither and yet you remain silent,
for in vain among the barbarians you seek your own in the sunlight—
the great, sensitive souls who are no longer there.
But time flees. Already my mortal song foresees the day,
Diotima!, when among the gods, together with the heroes, you are named and equaled.
